Did you know?Bohemian Rhapsody was considered unsuitable for radio
Bohemian Rhapsody is arguably the most famous single ever. But when Queen released it in 1975, radio station executives considered the 5 minute / 55 second running time far too long for broadcast when at the time, pop singles were around 3 minutes in duration.
It is now accepted (and documented in the 2018 movie Bohemian Rhapsody) that zany and controversial DJ Kenny Everett championed the record by playing it on Capital Radio.
It became a huge success.
